Cancuc Noche Jean Jacket
Me llamo: Cancuc Noche Jean Jacket
Soy de: San Juan Cancuc, Chiapas
Descripción: Levi’s jean jackets get a Mayan touch that catapults them into out-of-this-world awesomeness! In a tiny village in the highlands of Chiapas, men sport long backstrap loom woven shirts in bright pinks, while the women wear deep purple and blue designs. These huipiles with tight geometric designs take up to six months to weave and are worn daily during tortilla-making, wood-gathering and meetings in the plaza. We fell in love with the older, outdated designs and collected worn huipiles ready to be retired and repurposed, in hopes of giving them new life in these jackets. Cherish and spread the beauty of this American reincarnation.
Tamaño: XL (Jackets run small, order a size up)
